Buy vs. Lease for Kids Skis
Looking for some opinions on buy vs. lease
For the past 3 seasons we bought skis/boots for our twins, I was hoping to get 2 years out of last years gear but I don't think that is going to happen due to the fact that they are growing like weeds.
Anyone lease gear for their kids? If so any suggestions, in NH or MA of where to go to get good stuff? Looking at girls twin tips.
Twitter saves the day???
Seems kind of bogus to me. From what I understand the trails there are pretty wide and virtually impossible to get lost on. There's also reportedly good cell service in the area. It seems unlikely to me that she'd be able to get a good internet connection, but no cell service?? I'm no cell engineer though...

Droid X...
My Droid X came yesterday, and I've been playing with it quite a bit.
I'm really liking the android interface, and anxious to see what froyo (android 2.2 to be released at some point this summer for the Droid X) will do to it, as it already seems quite quick to me.
So far, the biggest downfall is that I think the Deal Droid app is going to drain my wallet severely. It's an aggregation app for the Tramdock/SteepandCheap/etc sites with a few others thrown in for good measure... It may not...
The Fordson/Chevrolet Snow-Motor
What an idea! Notice it's never shown negotiating sustained pitches? It looks like a helluva jarring ride. Probably the last time I've seen someone with a suit, tie and hat driving a tractor!

Route Suggestions
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum. I've done some regular backpacking in my younger years and about 2 trips a year since then. Since moving to MA I've done alot less simply because of time constraints and being away from friends I used to go with. I've decided I'd like to take my girlfriend on her first overnight. We've done some day trips and she's really enjoyed it. I'd like to take her on a 1 or 2 night trip with not too much elevation change. It would be nice if we could sleep...
How do you plan your hiking trip?
Hello,
In regards to my university researches, I need to see whether walkers from every corner of the world are that different.
Would you mind to answer my 2 QUESTIONS. It takes only a few seconds

who has the right of way??
If u r in a parking lot & u r backing out of a parking spcae who has the right of way? the vehicle backing out or the vehicle driving in the parking lot? is there a right of way or is it just courteous for the car driving in the parking lot to stop? just curious!!
Do benefits matter?
I'm not talking about "friends with benefits", of course THAT matters.
When you make your season pass purchase decisions do the added benefits matter to you?
me - yes but no.. i get a pass to ski sundown*. i'd ski there over my other local options regardless of the benefits BUT the benefits are very inviting for me. as a "local" hill Sundown is what it is, nobody is going to confuse what Sundown offers compared to the big guys up north. But i simply couldn't ski ONLY at Sundown. ...

WARSAW, Poland (AP) -- The plane slowly descends from white clouds and sweeps over a panorama of a city destroyed by the Nazis: the skeletons of bombed bridges jutting from a quiet river, the empty walls of burned-out houses, the Jewish ghetto totally flattened.

Start Haus Nordica Blowout Deals
Some might have seen this deal over at TGR or Epic, but I wanted to pass it along here. You might have heard I moved out west this for this upcoming winter and took a position at Start Haus. I bit the bullet and decided to step up to "Professional Ski Bum" status.

SI ranked them numero uno going into the season. I still cant believe the steelers basically handed Holmes to them for a bag of peanuts.
I'm betting they miss the playoffs completely. Dirty Sanchez aint the man.
Gear Lemons?
tmcc71's inquiry for bindings got me thinking about this topic.
How common do you think it is to purchase gear 'Lemons' in ski world.
I ask because I think I have Lemon bindings. I bought a set of Rossignol Axial 120 bindings 3-4 years ago. They might have 40 days on them. I've had nothing but problems with them since pretty much my first day out. My understanding is that they are pretty much the same binding as a Dynaster PX 12?
