Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) announces the launch of the new Grand Pass for winter of 2010-2011. The August price on a Grand Pass delivers an unrestricted Jackson Hole experience at a 25% discount over last year, a rate not seen since the 1980?s. JHMR is also introducing Youth and Student Grand Passes that provide unrestricted access the next generation of skiers and riders regardless of whether their parents are passholders.

The Southern Hemisphere Leg of the 2010/11 TTR Tour Season Only Weeks Away

Winter is in full swing down in the Southern Hemisphere and riders from around the globe are making the journey to Lake Wanaka, New Zealand for the 2010 Burton New Zealand Open. A 5Star event on the Swatch TTR World Tour, the New Zealand Open is set to take place August 10-14, 2010 at Cardrona Alpine Resort and will feature halfpipe and slopestyle formats. This will be the second 5Star event of the 10/11 TTR Tour season giving riders another chance to collect some early season points before winter returns to the Northern Hemisphere.

Final Two Spots for World Heli Challenge Up for Grabs at Treble Cone

LAKE WANAKA, New Zealand (July 25, 2010) – The final two spots for the World Heli Challenge will be competed for in the Big Air Qualifier at Treble Cone on Wednesday 28th July.

The competition will guarantee spectacular action as snowboarders and skiers take on Treble Cone’s Backcountry Big Air to battle it out for a wild card free entry into the World Heli Challenge.

Set to start on July 30th, the World Heli Challenge brings together a handful of top athletes from around the globe to compete in helicopter accessed competition. The goal is to find out which athlete is the best "all rounder" by combining their freeride and free style skills to showcase their overall talent.

Travis Parker To Attend Sierra Nevada On Art Scholarship

INCLINE VILLAGE — Sierra Nevada College has awarded a scholarship to professional snowboarder Travis Parker. Parker will attend Sierra Nevada College on an annual art scholarship in the amount of $15,000 per year, totaling $60,000 over a four-year period. Parker will enter the college in the fall as a fine arts major in painting and drawing, and also plans to get his teaching credential.
